Yan Dong is a senior editor and has been engaged in TV production for more than 30 years. His main works include , CCTV's first 3D movie, the documentary film and more. He has produced more than 30 major productions, of which six are shown by Western mainstream broadcasters.
Yan Dong has won the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee's Five One Project Awards nine times and the China Golden Eagle Award Documentary Special Award five times. He was also awarded by National Radio and Television Administration for several times. His other awards include Starlight Award, Gold Panda Award, Magnolia Award, etc. In 1995, won the silver medal in the 25th FNS competition in Japan. In 2013, the documentary film won the 3DTV Cultural Documentary at the Lumiere Awards. won the Pitch Award at Sunnyside of the Doc in 2014 and the Best Documentary Award at the 1st Chinese-Russian TV Week in 2015. In 2019, won the Best Film Award and Most Inspirational Award at the 16th TAC International Film Festival held by the Archaeology Channel. It was also nominated for the Best Script Award, Best Music Award and Best Public Education Value Award.
Yan Dong was selected as the Famous Art Worker and Four One-Batch Talents by the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee and the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee, the 9thNational TV Artists with Outstanding Art Achievement and Strong Moral Integrity, Person of the Year of China Documentary, Outstanding Party Member of the Departments directly under the CPC Central Committee, One of A Hundred Intangible Cultural Heritage Figures by Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People’s Republic of China, and a credit member of China Media Group's celebration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. Yandong’s team from CCTV10 was rated by National Radio and Television Administration as the only outstanding team on behalf of CCTV.
