Jia Zhao is an acclaimed Chinese film producer based in Amsterdam. She founded MUYI FILM and SILK ROAD FILM SALON in 2012. The latter is co-founded with Afghan-Dutch film director Aboozar Amini and has a primary focus on regions along the ancient trade route Silk Road.

Jia speaks fluently in Chinese, Japanese, English and Dutch and has established in the last years an unique international profile as a producer for producing authentic across culture stories from Asia and Middle East.

At the end of 2017, Jia joined Off the Fence and is responsible for sales, co-financing & co-productions in Asia, along with the responsibility of distribution of the Waterbear Network in China. Off the Fence is 100% subsidiary of ZDFE since January 2019.
