Danielle McCarthy graduated from the University of Melbourne with a degree of BA Cinema Studies. Joining AIDC in 2016 to oversee the industry division, Danielle has worked both internationally and in Australia for over a decade.

Her past work at film festivals has included producing and liaison roles at Tribeca, Sundance, TIFF, and the Melbourne International Film Festival. Prior to joining the festival world she worked on Steve McQueen's award-winning film Shame, and was also a producer and first AD in Australia. She has worked with features programming at the Tribeca Film Festival and at SBS Television, where she began her career after graduation.
