Rising in the Yunnan-Kweichow Plateau, the Zhujiang river runs through Guangdong province and Guangxi province. For thousands of years, the rushing river, which makes farms flourish and people nourished, has forged a bond between the two provinces. This documentary presents the stories that how Guangdong providing partner assistance to Guangxi on poverty alleviation in the passing 24 years. Basing on true events, specific scenes, and sensitive human nature, this documentary expresses how Guangdong and Guangxi cooperate with each other to triumph over poverty. Lu Zhenping, Associate Senior Reporter, director of South China Documentary, graduated from Sun Yat-sen University in 1988 and now works as Deputy Director of International Department of Guangdong Radio and Television. He has won an array of documentary awards including China Starlight Award, Golden Eagle Award, Jury’s Award of GZDOC, Contribution Award of Asia Tourism TV Program Award, First Prize of South China Documentary Award etc.
