Santi Palacios (Madrid, 1985) is a photojournalist specialising in migration, conflict and human ecology—these interests stemming from his training as a sociologist. He has been working at the international level with media, production companies and non-governmental organisations since 2008. His work has taken him to more than fifty countries and has been exhibited in dozens of cities, receiving numerous national and international awards, including World Press Photo; Overseas Press Club of America; Pictures of the Year; the Luis Valtueña International Humanitarian Photography Award of Doctors of the World. In 2016, he was part of the team nominated by the Associated Press for the Pulitzer Prize in the category: Breaking News Photography.
Simón Casal de Miguel is a screenwriter, director and producer. Over the past ten years, he has worked in the audio-visual industry, including at the development, production and direction departments of various production companies and online agencies where he participated in a very broad range of narrative and documentary projects for online broadcasting, TV, cinema and VOD platforms. He has written and directed several short films and in 2012 he directed his first TV film, Eduardo Barreiros,the Grand Jury Prize for the best TV-film at Worldfest Houston 2012, and the Mestre Mateo Award (a Galician audio-visual award, Spain) in the same category.
