Chenghua Xu, a Chinese director and writer, who used to lived in Tibet for two years, entered Xinjiang several times, journeyed to more than 50 countries as well as the Arctic and the Antarctic. Xu has filmed three documentaries about his son Simba’s growth: Simba’s Adventures in West China, Don't Call Me Baby and Antarctic Preschool. He is also the author of the book He is a Traveler Simba. He has won 10th China Outdoor Golden Rhino Award - Best Backpacker Award in 2015, 7th Chinese Contemporary Xu Xiake ( a legendary traveller in ancient China) in 2017, and 5th China Natural Parenting Person of the Year in 2018.
