Chen Hong is Deputy Director of China Education Television, Vice Chairman and Secretary General of Industry TV Committee of China TV Artists Association, and Vice President of Documentary Work Committee of China Radio and Television Association, winner of National Award of Excellence in Both Art Skills and Moral Integrity, one of the Capital Outstanding Film and Television Workers and Top Ten Workers of Beijing TV at the Sixth Session. He was awarded for a meritorious action repeatedly working on journalism in the armed forces. The large-scale documentary New China’s Diplomacy that he planned and wrote as the chief editor won the “Five One Project Award”. A number of television works won awards both at home and abroad. Among them, New Red Star Over China, Crossing the Yalu River, Strait Confrontation, Discovery in the West, Tide to the East, Personal Experience of National Affairs, Chen Yi, Battle for the Defense of Schools, Co-construction of Spiritual Home, People Who Love TV Series, Young at Heart, etc. caused great responses in the society. He served as executive producer for nearly 1,000 television programs (sets) including documentaries, TV shows and entertainment programs.
